At LA Family Dentistry, we believe that early education and hands-on learning is the key to building good oral health habits that last a lifetime. That’s why we’ve created our innovative Hands-On Learning Lab™ for children, designed to make learning about dental health fun and engaging.
Our Learning Lab™
Our Learning Lab™ is a unique approach to teaching children about their oral health. Each child works one-on-one with a hygienist who acts as a coach and facilitator, helping them to understand the whys and hows of caring for their teeth and overall oral health. Our goal is to help your child or teen learn to value and care for their oral health so that they become and remain disease-free into adulthood.
We understand that every child is different, and that’s why we begin by helping them to uncover and discover their own beliefs and values about teeth and health. Basic to the process is helping your child to feel comfortable and engaged in the learning process, presenting developmentally appropriate learning and skills chosen for each individual.
Our program is designed to progress at each visit so that each young person can take one more step toward optimal dental health for a lifetime. We believe that this experiential approach to learning makes it easier for patients to choose behaviors that will improve their overall health, and our experienced hygienists are available for extended learning programs outside of normal business hours.
